Columbus Tower - CMH
Posted: 05-23-2009, 06:26 PM CMH will be one of my top choices to work in the near future. Does anyone have any information on what it is like there? or training?

Re: Columbus Tower - CMH
Posted: 06-21-2009, 09:58 PM Hey I'm headed to CMH, hopefully still...my TOL is for CMH , just waiting for a class date at the moment. I was told when I visited that they had 9 or 10 trainees headed to the facility this year. Although I heard that Dayton Tracon is still being considered moved to CMH, & that could maybe create jobs for those who don't want to relocate? I have no idea, could be wrong... It is a great facility, everyone I met was very nice. Put your name in the hat for OH-IO thats all you can do! Good Luck! BTW I am OTS, so they must take them

Re: Columbus Tower - CMH
Posted: 06-23-2009, 09:42 AM We had a guy transfer up there, check out, and then come back because he hated it so much. I guess the grass is not always greener on the other side! He said it was just too culturally different, in that there was a lot of "well, this is how we do things in Columbus" even though the procedure might be retarded. I don't know anything about CMH and this is not my opinion....merely passing along what the FPL I know who went there said. BTW I really enjoy working with this guy and he is a very good controller.

Posted: 06-23-2009, 11:30 AM What you guys must remember is that the busier the facility the more structured they will be. If you can't handle the added structure then you will not like it there or problably won't certify.
