Madison, WI - MSN

I'm a prospective new hire with a offer letter for MSN. Any facility info would be appreciated regarding current staffing (and future speculation). I'm familiar with the area, having family who lives there.

I'm not at Madison, but I know a current controller and a former controller that both really enjoy working there. Only problem is that they're on the verge of a downgrade from an 8 to a 7 when those start up again. From what I understand the entire state (GRB, MSN, MKE) are all staffed pretty well. There are rumors at all 3 facilities regarding consolidations and co-locations, but no one really knows anything.

Well I'm a CFI going to ATC via PUBNAT and I love Madison. Do you have any future hiring numbers as I would love to spend a decade in MSN.

the list of airports below the minimum of their classification index is hilarious, I don't know how they will go through all of those downgrades

Hey all, see this hasn't been visited in a while but I keep seeing on all Wisconsin related posts that they are all well over staffed and I just made the referral list for Wisconsin... Should I basically not hope at all that I could get selected or is there still a chance?

If you were selected at least one facility needs a warm body, I hope you get lucky.....

I was always a fan of LIG...When I dropped my retirement paperwork it just seemed to scream "use me as an avatar" I fully expect to be sued by the LIG folks.

Hey MTLATC, as it turns out someone DOES need a warm body. I got selected for the interview but have not had it yet. I'm hoping for MKE but would take GRB or MSN happily. Hope all is great on your end.

Just get your foot in the door, you have a whole career to get to where you want to be.
