I was wondering if anyone has info on MSP...Break down of the D1-D3 scale, the training program, and how things are there overall? Any info would be awesome!

I did an internship there several months ago. I can't give you specifics, but from what the controllers were saying to me the avg. checkout rate was about 11-14 months. They are in the process of installing a tower cab simulator so that number might go down. All the guys and gals that worked there have a lot of fun and would be a great place to work. D1-D3 I'm not sure, but they said when you get your CPC, you make about 85k to start. That was before the new contract came out. It would be a hard tower to get into though. In general, MN is well staffed.

Zoom speaks the truth. We have what you could call an "in the know" contact. Very in the know, really. They won't take people straight from the academy anymore, at least for now. Only transfers and current CTOs as I understand it.

well either way I would be a transfer and I do carry a CTO. BTW even CTO hires have to attend the academy.

MSP is in a unique position with so many low level towers within the commuting area, that they can wait for seasoned pros who're ready to step up to something more challenging..
