Tri Cities Airport as you probably know is located in Northeastern Tennessee near the state line with Virginia and North Carolina. My opinion it is one of the prettiest areas of Tennessee. I know a few of the controllers there and they are some pretty nice people, and from what I've been told it is a good place to work and you'll find it an excellant place to learn ATC.
You'll like it there, make sure you live in Tennessee, since we don't have state income taxes, housing/apartment is plentiful and affordable. I'd suggest calling the facility and asking them to send you some information to help you make the move.
