Does anyone have any experience with or know any details about this facility?

One of the guys I work with down here in the "Heat Bowl" worked there for several years. Hasn't said a whole lot about it, but he says that if any big airport is going to teach you how to be a good controller in every type situation, DTW will do it! Now granted, we push A LOT of traffic down here but when things go IFR, we're like, "uh, how do we do this again?"

Anyone have any more information on this location? I am a controller in the USAF and have a couple years left in my commitment. I am from the general area and like the idea of working back closer to home. Anyone know the prospects for this tower in the next few years?
