Ouch, yea was just throwing that out there. Had no idea. Sanford is a great airport! And sanford is a really nice city! Used to live close by. Some day I hope to get a job at that airport! It would be my dream. Not for the money, obviously, but because i grew up near there and friends and family and such are there. But, that would be a good place to intern. Good Luck! |

Re: Daytona Beach Tower - DAB
Posted: 05-06-2009, 06:08 PM it all depends on you, how hard you study and how easily ATC comes to you. If its an Up/Down facility like said above then it will take you some time. You'll most likely have to get fully certified in the tower then fully certified in the approach control afterwards. May take you a few years to get CPC'd.

Posted: 07-20-2009, 07:47 PM its busy...mostly Embry Rilddle training aircraft...lots of student pilots. delta does a few flights a day there, as well as i think us airways. also there are 6 airports within a 20-30mile radius... 2 are under the outer ring and are both class D. the others are non towered when i left but i they were building a tower at one.
