Posted: 05-15-2009, 03:11 PM Deer Valley is the busiest VFR tower the FAA has. Flight school on top of flight school... parallels with pattern work all day long. You will earn your pay check there, unfortunately its only like an 8. Scottsdale is a single runway and works more carrier and small jet traffic. Level 7 I believe.

Posted: 05-15-2009, 09:19 PM The experience gained working very busy VFR traffic would be a huge asset for when you move up to a larger facility. I've seen controllers that have come from busy VFR towers be much better tower controllers than those that didn't. At a busy VFR facility you really learn how to manipulate the traffic to make things work.

Posted: 05-15-2009, 09:35 PM I fully believe that the hardest facilities are busy VFR towers.
