I was told for a position in North Dakota, she said she was going to try and refer me to DLH. I hope she does, I hope she has ANY influence, but I have a feeling that its all just wishful thinking.

She also said that there was no hurry on my interview. When I called to interview, I had to ask her specifically if she was available any time before mid January just to interview. Having said that, I think she just simply told me what she was told about the priority of the interview. Im sure she didn't know much about the current hiring process. She asked if I took the AT-SAT.

A friend of mine, however, received his FOL while in Iraq. We got back in early summer 09 and he started on Dec 4, enroute.

Has anyone worked in MSP tower? Or currently working there? I am in LBB TX tower (level 7) right now and interested in touring it again. Please message me if you have any details.

Hey guys/girls,

I work at MSP. Been there just about 2 years now. Transfered from GFK (2.5 years there).

Latest through the grapevine is that there will be a bid coming up in late summer.

Just had another retirement last week. Puts us at 3 in the past like 2 months or so.

Let me know what you need to know!

Thanks for the insight. How's GFK looking? When you left or if you still have contacts, that seems like a nice place to work. I hear rumors of it being upgraded too.

GFK was an awesome place to work for a first facility. Obviously theres no shortage of traffic. We did a 2000+ operation day when I was there and they have done like four or five more since. They are getting upgraded to level 8 and they are doing 9 numbers. Haven't heard if they are going to get the 9 yet. Good mix of traffic even though UND is 90% of it. Young crew to which is nice. On a good VFR day you were lucky to get a 10-15min break. Let me know if you have any other specific questions about the operation. I still know just about everybody up there if you want a tour or more info. Good luck!

It sounds like it, I'm working on a TOL for GRB. I'm pretty happy about that but but if it comes to a long wait (I know they are overstaffed) I wonder if a re-direct is restricted to the same state? Frankly, I'm looking for a feeder facilitiy into MSP or M98 for the long run. I like that GRK seems like a hoping, fun tower and its LV 8 status (paycheck). I'm loosing some serious $ as I transition to the FAA so that talks. Thanks for your input.
