She also said that there was no hurry on my interview. When I called to interview, I had to ask her specifically if she was available any time before mid January just to interview. Having said that, I think she just simply told me what she was told about the priority of the interview. Im sure she didn't know much about the current hiring process. She asked if I took the AT-SAT. A friend of mine, however, received his FOL while in Iraq. We got back in early summer 09 and he started on Dec 4, enroute. |

I work at MSP. Been there just about 2 years now. Transfered from GFK (2.5 years there). Latest through the grapevine is that there will be a bid coming up in late summer. Just had another retirement last week. Puts us at 3 in the past like 2 months or so. Let me know what you need to know! |

Re: Minneapolis Tower - MSP
Posted: 06-24-2011, 11:21 PM GFK was an awesome place to work for a first facility. Obviously theres no shortage of traffic. We did a 2000+ operation day when I was there and they have done like four or five more since. They are getting upgraded to level 8 and they are doing 9 numbers. Haven't heard if they are going to get the 9 yet. Good mix of traffic even though UND is 90% of it. Young crew to which is nice. On a good VFR day you were lucky to get a 10-15min break. Let me know if you have any other specific questions about the operation. I still know just about everybody up there if you want a tour or more info. Good luck!

Re: Minneapolis Tower - MSP
Posted: 06-25-2011, 07:30 AM It sounds like it, I'm working on a TOL for GRB. I'm pretty happy about that but but if it comes to a long wait (I know they are overstaffed) I wonder if a re-direct is restricted to the same state? Frankly, I'm looking for a feeder facilitiy into MSP or M98 for the long run. I like that GRK seems like a hoping, fun tower and its LV 8 status (paycheck). I'm loosing some serious $ as I transition to the FAA so that talks. Thanks for your input.
