Anyone going to class for VGT TRACON? I have been waiting for a class for about 4 months now.

VGT doesn't have a TRACON. VGT is a tower position, lvl. 7, located in North Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Tracon is abbreviated as L30, is located at McCarran, and is part of KLAS' up/down facility.

There's a member around called "lalexf" who is going to KVGT, Roddy Piper and Flash are going to L30, and I'm hoping for KLAS.

L30 here. not sure when. have my interview on tuesday. it'll probably be somewhere around march-may of 09 before i go. we will see.

where are u in the process hotjock? would be cool if we end up in class together but i think your much farther ahead of me in the hiring.

we were already looking at homes and stuff. how's henderson to live? my wife thinks that's where she would like to be. my buddy at LAS lives there and says it's somewhat better than living too close to the strip, if u don't mind commuting. u guys both look local so just wondering what u thought.

I know you never asked me, but I must say...look in the SW/Spring Valley area. It's affordable, lovely, practical, only about 10-15 mins. from McCarran, etc.

have 2 friends at LAS. one lives in henderson and the other lives in silver ranch (i think he said). thanks for the info.

I am slotted for VGT, I currently live in henderson. I have completed the entire process just waiting for a class date. I was hoping for terminal at Mccarran, it is closer to my home. I just take it day to day.

what level is VGT? i would guess 7 or 8. LAS is an 11 so the money is much better.

Si, and there's no D1 there, which means you'll be paid starting wages for longer.
