Re: Minneapolis TRACON - M98
Posted: 03-02-2010, 05:03 PM I interned there...It's a great place, they are only taking transfers to the facility though. They are well staffed so I don't think they will be doing much hiring for the next year or two. They are installing a new tower simulator for training.

Re: Minneapolis TRACON - M98
Posted: 03-02-2010, 10:03 PM The facility is nice. The tower I believe has 10 or 11 positions you need to check out on if I remember correctly? It has been close to a year since I finished it. they have 4 active runways with 2 parallel runways. Its fairly busy, but not to a point where you might pull your hair out. The controllers there are very laid back and welcoming. The tracon is nice, all updated equipment. I think they had something like 15-17 positions, dept., arr., feeder, satellite, ect... Check out rate for the tower is 13-14mos and tracon is 22-26mos. They also have a low wash out rate for controllers. When I was there they had 6 check out all CTI...unfortunately they wont take CTIs anymore, Only transfers.
