What are you talking about? The union has never put out official word about helping out or not helping out with a person's master project. And there is no backlash for helping out.

Thanks for the answers DJ!

Tower as to getting NATCA to sponsor any attempt at getting the survey filled out: Reps have to get approval from the national office.

If I could get ahold of distribution lists, I am sure it would be no problem getting NATCA controllers to fill it out - getting the reps to distribute the survey, now that's a different animal. If you have some ideas on how to get more exposure pleas advise. Thanks!

Get in touch with Doug Church. He might be able to post a link to your survey on the BBS to have members fill it out. That has been done in the past with other members who have done a question/answer survey while working on their masters. As long as you don't have any identifing questions that give away their identity, I don't see a problem. All you can do is ask.

Instead of asking for a "sponsorship" of the survey, just tell him who you are and what you are working on and ask for his help by posting the link.

Well here is what Doug said over in the Ask NATCA forum.

Quote:
I'm afraid you'll have to find a NATCA member to do this for you. The National Office really tries not to be involved in inviting members to participate in surveys unless it's something the union formally endorses; most often if it's an FAA survey or questionnaire. Best bet is to re-post this message on another stuckmic forum and see if a NATCA member on there will post this on the BBS for you.
So if maybe one of my old stuckmic friends or someone who is understanding of my cause can post the original post on the BBS I would be grateful.

Thanks for everyone's help here, I know your time is valuable!!
