Dunno but Im thinking it will change again per a New Obama Appointee. I guess its possible she was his pick and relayed that but doubtful.

I may be wrong, but is this sorta a moot point anyway, since the secretary of transportation has already been chosen. Isn't that who the administrator reports to. How much leway does the FAA admin have with DOT secretary?

Well the DOT Sec is the boss overseeing the FAA Admin. however they dont directly chime in on every issue. Take the last 7-8 years for example. I dont blame anyone but the FAA for this mess. Left unchecked the FAA can do what it wants so lets hope the DOT is watching and implementing Obamas philosophy of cooperation.
