Just curious if anyone was following any of the pre-election hoopla.

So far I would say that I am pulling for Marlin. I've been reading her blogs and she seems to actually have some life in her and a drive to get the message of NATCA out into the public. Not to mention she is the only candidate I have heard anything from or about, aside from the incubent.

I was less then impressed with what I have seen out of Forrey. He just seemed really slow to react to anything and doesn't seem to have much of a plan other then "surely Obama will save us from the big bad Republicans".

I am squarely behind Ruth Marlin. Is Pat even running again? I havent heard.....Was not a good time to take over but I think mistakes have been made. Thats not to say I dont support his efforts. I liken it to supporting any president in hopes they are successful as this benefits us all as citizens. Nice to see someone taking an interest in the upcoming elections.

Just assumed he was since he was the incumbent..

But that was just an assumption..we all know what those do.

Anyone know when the election is? I would think ol Pat would be hoping to get us back to the table before then so he can get reelected.

I don't know about the NATCA, but I would imagine like any other... if you are doing that bad of a job you might not want to be reelected.

Ballots will be distributed to the membership on June 30, 2009. Balloting must be completed/received by 11:59pm EDT on July 30, 2009.


There is actually quite a bit of election talk around ZDC - of course it could be because our local president, Rich Santa, is running for national VP and his campaign is now in full swing.

From what I've heard:

Paul Rinaldi (Team4theFuture - Paul Rinaldi for President - Trish Gilbert for Executive Vice President)

Vice Presidential candidates -
Trish Gilbert (Team4theFuture - Paul Rinaldi for President - Trish Gilbert for Executive Vice President)
Rich Santa (www.richsanta.com)

Rinaldi and Gilbert are running on a joint ticket, and while many have commented that Ruth and Rich would make a good team they are running separate campaigns. I can also tell you that Rich is hosting his first TelCon on April 2nd which will be open to anyone who wants to call in - all the information is on his website. Seems to me, that if you aren't happy with the way NATCA has been handling things Marlin and Santa are the way to go...
