June 5 Would be Fine
Posted: 06-02-2009, 10:17 PM

Of course it's all rumor and speculation about when we might hear something about the mediation between the FAA and NATCA... but, far as I can see, June 5 would be a fortuitous date indeed to make an announcement.

Consider that June 5, 2006 is the date stamped on the White Book (let alone that it was actually implemented in September). A date 3 years to the day of when the FAA said to NATCA "screw you hippies" would be a decently memorable date to show us a new, honestly negotiated contract proposal for our (NATCA's) ratification.

Also, not that I want to wait this long, but, implementing a new and real contract on Labor Day of this year (I mean, remember, we still have to take the time to ratify this thing and gear FAA HR to the new contract) would also be a nice way of waiving goodbye to the crap we've handled these past few years.

I'll just keep dreaming for now and wait to see what reality has to bring our way.
