Casual Fridays Effective Immediately?

An email I got today- written by the big cheese

"Dear Colleagues:
One of my priorities since becoming Administrator has been to find ways to create a
supportive work environment that enables FAA employees to perform their jobs with a
can do spirit that reflects the passion we all share for the mission with which we have
been entrusted. The leadership team and I are currently looking at a number of
initiatives, and we expect to roll these out over the next few months.
To start us down this track, I need to know what you are thinking. We are exploring
several ways to expand communications, including setting up a website or other easy
mechanisms for employees to offer ideas and suggestions on how we can make the FAA
one of the best places to work. You will be hearing more about this in the coming
weeks. Stay tuned. In the meantime, I urge employees to continue to use the "Your
Two Cents" mechanism in Focus FAA. I've been reading letters to this column and have
found them really useful and informative.
Also, I will begin hosting brown bag lunches in headquarters and the field to hear first
hand what is on your mind. And I look forward to other opportunities to interact with
employees as I travel around the system. We may not be able to irnplement every idea
we hear but, I promise you, we'll listen and move forward with those that we can.
I have already begun receiving feedback from many of you and one area that caught my
immediate attention is that not every office has "casual Friday." Effective immediately, I
am approving "casual Friday" for all FAA employees with a reminder that good judgment
should be exercised so that clothing is respectful, modest, and not offensive to others.
In addition, to ensure that FAA employees maintain an overall level of professionalism,
we should all dress in an appropriate manner for external business meetings and official
events.
As we move forward, I commit to working with you and keeping an open mind when
considering additional initiatives that will support you and the entire workforce in
maintaining our worldwide standard of excellence.

Anyone out there have a supervisor/ATM letting this happen?
