Posted: 08-20-2009, 07:17 PM Never been a Facrep
Never been an RVP Never Represented a SINGLE controller EVER Not supported by single member of the NEB Not even supported by her own FacRep Besides being second in command with her arrogant ass boss JTB. She simply IS NOT qualified for the job. |

Ruth ain't John and I would assume Paul isn't Pat. But arrogant? That describes Paul. Give the guy a dictionary and interpreter so people can understand him and he won't have the FAA laugh at him. |

Posted: 08-20-2009, 10:39 PM Oh, and the last time I spoke to Ruth she was wasted and babbling on about how great John was. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree my friend. Maybe ask her telemarketer to explain it to you when they call you this week.

I seriously doubt you have ever seen Ruth Wasted and babbling, I've been to various events that Ruth was at, attended dinners with Ruth, worked with Ruth at several events, and I have never seen her drunk, wasted, or giddy. You must be thinking about McNalley. |

Re: Ruth Marlin for NATCA President
Posted: 08-20-2009, 11:33 PM Voted for Ruth.
That whole overtime lawsuit that Rinaldi filed that has ended up hosing our credit hours INFURIATES me. And don't try any spin on it because that is exactly what happened. It takes away from a lot of flexibility at our facility and others like it. Yeah so the big level facilities complained about it but they get compensated with bigger salaries. Thanks again Paul. I respect your position but hope you lose, which I suspect you will. |

Re: Ruth Marlin for NATCA President
Posted: 08-21-2009, 01:11 AM Finnicky7: Being Union President is not about the individual controller or even mid-level union business. The President is the face and voice of the entire union at a NATIONAL level. Ruth is smart as they come, well spoken, and well respected. Hell, even former NATCA Office employees would vote for Ruth if they could, and they worked with both Paul and Ruth. That says a lot. (See the 8/20 Main Bang blog for the story) Ruth will win. Even if the votes that went to Pat were split down the middle and all other votes come back the same, Ruth wins.

Re: Ruth Marlin for NATCA President
Posted: 08-21-2009, 08:02 AM Initially, I couldn't have cared less who won the election. It seemed as though we had two candidates who could lead us with passion and knowledge to tackle our issues.
However, the way that Paul's camp has been campaigning reminds me of the 2008 primary election where the Republicans only talked about how bad the other side was and mentioned "experience" as a reason to elect us. The Democrats talked more about actual issues and what they wanted to do. This is exactly what's playing out here. I don't give a damn about experience. Just because you've done something for 20 years doesn't mean you're the best person to do it. Ask some controllers turned stupes turned managers. Ruth has got my vote all the way. |
