Question: ARTICLE 108 ? PAY: Section 4. New Hire/New Entrant/Reentrant Pay Setting.
Posted: 09-04-2009, 06:16 PM

"C. For a Military or DOD Civilian controller with 52 consecutive weeks experience as a certified air traffic controller that completes training at the Academy (if required) and reports to their assigned facility, pay will be set at the minimum of the lowest developmental level pay band for the assigned ATC facility."

Does anyone know if this will take effect when the contract goes into effect or when the new pay goes into effect in January 2010?

Thanks,

JR

Everything goes into effect Oct 1 (assuming ratification happens). The only thing that happens in January is the pay bands change.

I think reserved may mean that parts of the article went to arbitration.... I know the pay setting for D1-2-3 was changed for the centers.

All of ART 108 went to arbitration. The FAA does not recognize the arbitration awards, and won't until they go into effect when the TAU's are ratified. The HR people told me they won't even discuss any issues related to article 108 with me until after they go into effect.

So does this mean that me being a VRA with experience that once i finish at the academy i would start off a D-1 not an AG. Just wondering cause I start at OKC on Sep 22 and report at my facility on Nov 1

so, when the TAU's are ratified, where does that put article 108? in effect? not in effect? In jan, or oct?

How will it work if I have been a my for a month, but I came in with 52 weeks experience and am still at AG pay? Will I get D1 Jan 1 or will it only be for folks coming in to the agency after Jan 1?
