Article 108 4c question
Posted: 12-04-2009, 08:22 PM

Hey guys, would you mind filling me in on what exactly the situation is with Article 108 4c. I was hired before Oct. 1 09' and I'm currently at my facility. I'm OTS if this info makes a difference. I'm just curious how it affects me? Thanks in advance!

if your OTS then 108 4C would not effect you at all. here is the paragraph in question. it's the stipulation that VRAs will start off at D1. OTS will still make the same pay and AG after the academy.

C. For a Military or DOD Civilian controller with 52 consecutive weeks experience as a certified air traffic controller that completes training at the Academy (if required) and reports to their assigned facility, pay will be set at the minimum of the lowest developmental level pay band for the assigned ATC facility.

Thanks for the response! I wasn't sure what Article 108 was in reference to. That clears it up for me.

Sidenote: dude it seems people confuse VRA application with VETERAN a ton. Just cause you were some avionics guy, this doesnt apply... its another thing to lure well qualified military CONTROLLERS away from big re-up bonuses to join the faa.
