I won't disagree with you that when LM first took the contract service to the pilot suffered. I also was burdened with putting in flight plans because of the FSS system being messed up. I will also say that it has continuously gotten better, and this opinion is based off of my time still with the FAA, not a biased one. Saying the pilots don't like going through FSS because it gets messed doesn't really say much. How many pilots do you get that still use DUATS. That system has been flawed since day one and has yet to be corrected. Yet another FAA program that doesn't function correctly. Unfortunatly, I do see more parts of the controller workforce getting contracted out. I hope that's not the case, but I think the writing is on the wall.
