Just call and ask. Considering that the whole VRAs go to tower school is new, most everyone on here wont be able to answer that question. Not to mention that the program will probably have variations before its all said and done. So some folks might be feeding you faulty information without meaning to.
As for the bonus, again, I'll call and ask. Your regions rep will be able to answer both questions. The bonus has been kind of wishy washy for some folks. Even after signing the contract (that is only a contract as the FAA seems to deem so) some folks got screwed out of the bonus. I hope it all works out for you, but I'd start by picking up the phone.
