Does anyone remember the ZDC 3 Fired because they were told they could work a holiday on the floor while in D school. Of course they were reinstated after the fact but you still have to admire the stupidity of the FAA in all its glory

That was a good one ... the manager in training said they weren't needed on the holiday. The developmental's sups told them to work the holiday. They came in. They were fired.

Talk about a catch-22 Whether they showed up or not, they would have been charged with insubordination for either not listening to the training manager or not listening to their first line sup

Like you said though, they were all reinstated.
