Maybe this has been mentioned before, but I have a feeling that the FAA may be quietly enacting an even more nefarious plan. I see them getting people qualified only on certain sectors and keeping them there very long term, if not permanently. Thus never allowing new hires to obtain CPC. I wouldn't put it past them. They could qualify enough people on each crew for full coverage and have no CPC's. Just a thought.
