This is my first response to anybody on the site.
Do I feel your pain, yes/no. No because I got in 5 1/2 years ago doing a job we all love in a tower environment that was better than I could have imagined. Yes, I also feel your pain because I will be moving to a higher level facility without any increase in pay. To be working almost 2 to 3 times the traffic for the same money, I know you're all saying shut up and don’t move. But we are like most people in bad situations, short term visionaries we can only see what’s happening to us in the short term in the here and now. Before this regime started us down a slippery slope the Jane Garvey administration was 'wonderful' but we cut our own throats by asking for so much and getting even more. Again at the time it looked great, but the cycle has continued. Time will change, things will get better and conditions will improve. It would be much better to get into a situation that improves (like now going forward) than it would be to get into a situation at the top and ride it down to destruction (like the ppl retiring). Yes I know what you’re telling me….. shut up and go back to living in my cave
