Piloting safer flight. That?s what more than 800 Lockheed Martin flight services specialists do every day. Each week alone, they help provide a range of services to between 80,000 and 90,000 members of general aviation community.


Lockheed Martin operates 10 flight services stations and three hubs across the country?geographically distributed to align with local pilot populations?24/7. When Lockheed Martin modernized and standardized the system, flight services specialists nationwide were able to access to the same information. The result? Reduced pilot wait times, facility workload balancing, improved weather information to support briefings and taxpayer savings.


Using the innovative technology, we provide users of the National Airspace System?from Hawaii to Puerto Rico to every state in the contiguous U.S.?with:

• Pre-flight, in-flight, operational and special services
• En route communications
• Search and rescue
• Pre- and in-flight meteorological and aeronautical briefings
• Development, translation, processing and coordination of aeronautical, meteorological and aviation information
• Support of air shows, conventions and other aviation events

A new pilot portal will provide pilots the opportunity to file flight plans and obtain enroute information online. From take off to touch down, Lockheed Martin?s goal is to provide accurate information to pilots to ensure the safety of their flight.
