the journey begins

OMG! Okay, so I have never been in a TRACON or a busy ATCT before. I managed to get a tour of both the PHX TRACON and ATCT today. First off, the facility is less than 2 years old. VERY NICE. Everyone I met was super nice. The ATM even took about an hour to talk to me and answer any questions I had. Learned a lot (thanks Bob!).

I applied for announcements that closed on 07/31/08 to 08/04/08 for HI, AK and lower 48. PUBNAT 5 I believe. I received the AT-SAT selection email on 10/17/08. Scheduled to take on 11/04/08. Received AT-SATs scores on 11/17/08 (98.9). I then called the FAA careers hotline and asked a few questions. They said I can expect the Geo Pref email around the first of the year.
