Started at ZID 1/3/1970 fired for striking 8/3/1981
Worked for another agency and retired 5/05
Applied 6/08
Offered job under VRA with FAA in June 2008. Start date 11/26/08. Going to ZID.
Looking forward to training and work.
Contrary to popular opinion there is no medical evidence to support the mandatory retirement age of air traffic controllers at age 55. Or the practice of not hiring controllers after they turn 31.
