Hi all,

I've recently launched a web site designed to help ATC trainees keep track of their OJT training forms. It's loaded with features that make it simple to calculate your position hours and view the status of your OJT reports.

Hi there! (About me)

Hola everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself briefly.

I'm a Developmental at Pensacola TRACON in the Florida panhandle. I spend my days working with a ton of US Navy and Marines training traffic. I'm a Dev-2 currently, certified on 3 of our 9 scopes.

Before I joined the FAA, I was the Creative Director for two different design firms. I participated and oversaw production of web sites, videos, and other projects for universities, corporations, and non-profit organizations....

Working The Blues

I worked the Blue Angels for the first time yesterday. They were heading off to Illinois for an air show run up in the Chicago area.



Nothing overly special about it. You just treat them like any other military flight. Radar identify, climb them, turn them, hand them off, and switch 'em.

It's not easy to find an analogy for ATC. It really is a unique job and it's hard to find a comparison for the stresses and challenges that come with it. The flexibility, the reaction times, the ability to manage resources and plan effectively - those are integral components of being a controller.

I've been watching a lot of Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares lately, the British version that's shown on BBC America. For those that are not familiar with it, each episode features a struggling...
