What are the veteran washout rates at higher-level facilities?
Posted: 02-07-2010, 05:36 PM

I know that the CTI and OTS washout rates at higher-level facilities (10+) are quite high, but what about the veterans who go to higher-level facilities after OKC?

What are the chances a veteran (say AF or Navy) after 5 or 6 years of controlling would washout of Atlanta, Chicago or Dallas/Ft. Worth? Is it better to choose a lower-level facility, then transfer even if you have military experience?

The check out rates are very good. about 15 VRA's i know, all checked out in lvl 11's, and 2 i know checked out in lvl 12 (all terminal facilities). One of which was the only non-transferee in years at a lvl 12 to actually not wash (at that particular facility).

It's still about individual skill/willingness to learn and not let your prior-experience "get in the way." There are some VRA's that suck, and they sucked in the AF, that cant make it in higher lvl facs.

That's good to know. Thanks for the helpful insight.
