This is my 623a

I have recreated this Eval off of someone?s original version. I am not sure who created the original, or else they would get their proper credit.

I created this one using macros and calculations. I did not lock the evaluation for purposes of checking for security issues and/or revamping to the facility/Air Force liking. I hope everyone enjoys this and sends me feedback or questions so I can help get this going for your facility.

This is compatible with both Office 2003 and 2007. You have to ensure that you enable the security warning that shows up in both versions of office when you open this eval. If you are using Office 2003, you need to lower the macro security down to medium instead of high and then restart the eval, office 2007 you need to have a blank excel spreadsheet open in the background.

Looks like what is already being used with different section headers...and seems like an even bigger pain in the ass, since other programs have to be open to use it.

Trainers dont care how many macros or how "fancy" the evals are. In fact, the less complicated, the better. Training is already a pain, this eval will just piss them off more.

The problem is that there are too many trainer re-res out there that keep messing up the simple things that cause more work for the NATCT. They can't add or pay attention to details. People just "save, print and submit".

The reason it looks like what is already being used is because it is in compliance with AFIs. Maybe it was the ones that created the old eval, but, it had too many spots in the eval where you repeated the same sts and task items more than once. I put it into a section where all you need is to type each sts and the task item only once. It is meant to save paper at this facility at least. In short, it saves paper.

As for the "pain" that you refer to about having another program open, it is just open and needs nothing more to be done with it. I can see if you have this problem with your double click finger where if you double click and it hurts so you would rather only have to do it once and that being just to open up the word processor that your facility is using, usually is Microsoft Word.

Don't get me wrong, I am not a NATCT, I am a trainer who was looking for an easier way. In my opinion, it is easier to have all the math done for me so I didn't have to take the time to think about it and I can get out on Fridays at a good time instead of being stuck in position and not being able to get to it until after shift.

I appreciate your feedback.
