My AF sup tried to get me to stay in so that I could make TSgt..."It's like a $200 a month raise," he said. Hmmm...$200 a month or $115k (before premiums) a year. You can keep the stripes and bonus. I'll take no deployments, no additional duties, no 3 lvls, no epr's, no cc calls, no blues...do i need to go on. Oh, and I'll take the FAT CASH.
Lvl 7 in AZ, are you at FFZ? Just wondering because if so, we are neighbors.

How long until you get to the top of the CPC payscale? Was just looking at the 2012 pay table and it says the top of CPC is $90k before locality. With locality and premium pay it's like

So, with the bonus being taken away, it's probably a safe bet to assume that there will be a lot of current AD that won't be reupping if they have the opportunity in the civilian world (ie faa, dod, etc), would you agree/disagree?

Actually at SDL...we were a lvl 7 when I first got here but got downgraded just this last January. Fortunately, we save pay for 2 years so we still make lvl 7 money. Everyone that showed up after January gets the lvl 6 money. I know a couple of the FFZ guys...good peeps. Were you at Luke?

I live right down the road from GYR...commute to SDL every day. Did you work with Emily before she got picked up at Luke?

Not sure how long it would take to make the top of the payband. Got some old timers here that I believe are at that point. Pretty good money especially for our area...low cost of living.

Completely agree. I've already gotten a ton of phone calls from friends still in the AF asking about the FAA hiring process. The bonus was the only thing keeping alot of people in the AF...it was lowered once back in '06 and we lost a ton of people. Wondering why the AF didn't learn from that.
