RIP USAF ATC bonus

For any USAF controllers out there, as of August of this year the air force is going to severely decrease our SRB. Zone A: 4 Zone B: 1 Zone C is gone completely.

To any non air force controllers that happened to look in this thread this basically means that many more air force controllers will be leaving for jobs in the FAA or contract towers due to the decrease/loss of our bonus that used to be up to 90K each time we signed for another four years of service. With lower pay and no bonus I don't see why anyone would stay in longer than their first enlistment.

Yeah I got an email with this news this morning. Well, FAA, you better accept my application this Sept cause I really don't want to re-enlist!

Yeah, everyone has until August to reenlist before this new policy takes effect. This has solidified my plan to get out of the air force. I have two years left but I am already counting the days. I just hope the FAA doesn't become impossible to get into over the next two years.
