I've learned A LOT from this site and I thought I could give back so here it goes. I have been a controller for the USAF for 9 years, 4 of which were at the schoolhouse teaching active duty, guard, and reserve air traffic apprentices. I know the school like the back of my hand as well as the ins/outs of being a controller in the Air Force. what's the SRB these days?

SRB is about 15k per year as a SSgt and i was thinking about reenlisting and going to the school house...whats a day in the life of an instructor like?? i know they need people down there pretty bad right now...hows the local area, housing for rent, night life, coworkers etc..etc...

15K for a SSgt? wow, it came WAY down from when i was almost enticed to reenlist in zone B. i think it was capped out with a 6 SRB for zone B. just wondering what the 3 zones are. i'm sure there is somewhere to google and find that information but i tried and gave up.

Zone B is 6.5 right now.. I think he meant 15k per year. With the 90k raised cap I know people are capping it out for a 6yr re-up.

what's the training program like? are they still doing single track at Keesler or back to dual track? i thought the trainees they were sending to the field on the single track were less prepared than those of us that did the dual track training.
