Ask a Marine Instructor
Posted: 01-29-2010, 02:19 PM Hello everyone on Stuck Mic. My name is Staff Sergeant (SSgt) Kurtis Young. I have been in the Marine Corps for eleven years, all as an air traffic controller. I have been a radar supervisor at MCAS Yuma Arizona which is a joint civillian and military use international airport. I have also been a radar supervisor for two tours to Al Asad Iraq. After that I was an instructor at the Navy/Marine Corps ATC school in Pensacola, FL. Currently I am the Terminal Instrument Approach Specialist for Marine Corps Installations West. I look forward to reading and answering any questions you may have about ATC or the Marine Corps.
