For anyone that knows...what's the traffic like these days? Numbers and type of traffic, that is.

Hmmm...I used to work the airspace right above Point Mugu. Can't give you any numbers though.

is point mugu part of the camarillo tower? or is it navy?

It is Navy and relatively busy with civilian traffic to close proximity muni. airports

What I meant was, is Mount Mugu approach colocated with the Camarillo Tower. IE - is Camarillo an Up/ Down?

point mugu is the approach facility for camarillo tower, camarillo is not an up and down it is a level 6 vfr tower only. point mugu has an approach and a tower, the tower is not busy at all and the approach services oxnard FCT, and Camarillo. numbers at mugu are down just like the rest of air traffic pretty much everywhere.
