Boy, is this the truth I still remember such an incident as if it were yesterday.

VFR rated pilot, lost in clouds, contacts me. He's in a death spiral, he is panicked and every time he keyed his mic i could hear his family screaming and crying in the background. Absolute chaos.

Long story short, i got his wings level and headed towards safety. All worked out fine.

How much was i worth then FAA
