After his grandstanding during the House debate prior to the suspension rule vote - the one where Defazio told him he knew how much the folks in his district got paid - I think even this union hater is seeing the difference between chicken sh*t and chicken salad.
Then again, it's hard to explain to the folks of Central Florida why Orlando Intl has seen a large spike in OEs. There are stories in the local papers every few days detailing mistakes and near hits. It's also fair to say he's probably feeling some heat from Embry-Riddle, which is part of his district or just on the border. They're probably looking for pay-back on their ATC program but are finding it hard to force folks out of over $100k when the FAA is hiring OTS.
