The point being missed is there was no proof that she ever expressed any wish to die. Her husband was not a credible witness because he had both an emotional and financial motive for her death. As passionate as he argued she wanted to die---her parents argued as passionately that she did not. In the case of no credible proof--the courts over stepped their bounds by allowing her to die a slow and agonizing death. Murders get more humane treatment then she got. I agree that to us it seems like it is no life worth living--but there are miracles and people do awake from vegetative states quiet often. But this is the danger when governments and courts try and act like God. Imagine if we applied biblical principles in our legal system today--that for any capital case, there always had to be two eyewitnesses. If either one of those wittiness's was found to have lied--they would forfeit their lives. Terry Schiavo was a capital case.
