Valley flying is fun and uses all of your skills with all that happens in valleys winds terrain etc. When flying situational awareness is key for safety. With the GPS it enhances situational awareness enhanceing safety. I think when flying any where you can never have to much info. But when valley flying the best thing you can have is your sense and experience. Valley flying should not be done by newer pilots. Weather is the big thing in valley flying winds can come out of nowhere the GPS will not help you with that.
To all pilots out there be safe and have fun flying.
