Obama for President, you sure about this guy?

Hello everyone,
As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to 'The War Zone'. I wanted to share with you what happened.
He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.

As the Soldiers were lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn't say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.

So really he was just here to make a showing for the Americans back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.

I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheer leaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don't understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.

If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.

Thanks for the input...you should send that to the McCain campaign. I am not impressed with either candidate...I hope I can bring myself to vote this year, but who knows...

For the bloody sake of the IWR, vote for Obama!

McCain would just drive the FAA into the ground. Could you imagine O'hare going contract. McCain is the one to try something like that.

That is the only thing that really makes me want to go out and vote...my pay...and I think Obama would be better in that sense...

I agree with you dobber, but when you can't decide who you want to vote for you have to choose the one that will benefit you the most. I for one don't like either of the two so will probobly vote for obama so that the pay and other issues will hopefully be improved. I do not agree with alot of obama's policies but he will benefit me the most.

Oh yeah Bush was just full of experience. Oh yeah, and he also made us a great powerful country that demands respect in the world. Really? Give me a break. A democrat has to fix the shit that Bush created.

You might think Obama will make things worse, but I implore you to think about our current national situation. It couldn't get any worse.

I, for one, will vote for what benefits me the most. Obama is currently the best candidate to benefit me. How would you propose we all vote? For what's best for the country or what we believe would be the best. Best for me, best for America, best for our military...blah blah. Each situation I come up with the same candidate. OBAMA. I'm not saying the guy is the next JFK or Abe Lincoln but he is sure a step up from our current situation.

Plus, he will help our current FAA situation. If your contract or active duty military then I can see you wanting to vote another way. That's just your opinion. No need to attack me for wanting to vote in a candidate that will help me.
