Default tentative offer letter

here is the email i received back in june when they offered me zdc, this doesnt sound like what the email is that these other people on jet careers are getting, i obviously removed my name, address and the info of the person who sent it to me:

Congratulations. You have been chosen for further consideration for an Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) position at the Washington ARTCC in Leesburg, VA.

We are scheduling ATCS Pre-Employment Processing Centers (PEPCs) over the next few months in several locations. PEPCs are a new expedited method of processing and will include your interview, a security screening, medical evaluation, psychological evaluation, and drug test. In addition, if you are tentatively selected, you will receive a Tentative Offer Letter providing specific information on your facility assignment, salary, etc. All of these activities will take place during one day. This is an all-day event.

PEPCs are planned for the following cities during the weeks indicated.

· July 7 – July 11 New York City, NY
· July 21 – July 25 Memphis, TN
· August 11 – August 15 Chicago, IL

No specific locations have been identified and the dates could change slightly, depending on demand and on facility availability.

We cannot process everyone at the PEPCs that we are contacting. We will put you on a waiting list, in the order responses are received, and keep you informed of details as they become available. We will accept only as many people as we can accommodate for each PEPC. Others will be processed in the “non-PEPC process” (see below). We will give you feedback on your individual situation.

You are being contacted even if the address we have is not near one of the PEPC locations since you may have relocated. If you do not live near one of the scheduled PEPCs, you are welcome to travel to one if that is what you would like to do. However, all travel costs incurred will be at your own expense.

You may elect to continue with the non-PEPC process. If so, we will schedule you to interview at a location near where you live. If you successfully complete the interview and are recommended, the Aviation Careers Division will provide you with the information required to schedule the remaining pre-employment processing steps.

Please be advised that this may or may not be faster than waiting until a PEPC is scheduled near you. Also, employment offers are made based on available class schedules. Classes are normally filled several months in advance. Once you have completed your pre-employment processing, either through the PEPC or the non-PEPC process, you will be considered for available classes.

This is what you need to do.

1. Respond to this email and let us know if you are still interested in the position as identified in the first paragraph.
2. Tell us if you would like to attend one of the PEPCs and, if so, which one. Please choose only one.
3. OR, tell us you would like to be interviewed near your home.
4. Check the contact information listed above (address, phone number, email address) and provide any corrections.

Once you respond, we will either schedule you for an interview near your home or put you on our waiting list to be advised when the PEPC you identify is ready to schedule appointments. At that time, you will receive detailed information and forms to complete prior to your arrival. We will also communicate any updates as necessary.

Remember, the earlier you respond to this message, the better opportunity you will have to attend a PEPC. Please respond by email no later than June 27, 2008.

see???

Well the emails those people are getting say they'll receive another email regarding PEPCs and whatnot... it's still possible. We already know they changed the way they did the panels... they could've changed the emails too.

this is what I got, Jetcareers is blowing up right now......

My name is Maggie xxxxxx and I am your Human Resource Specialist in the Human Resource Management Division, Aviation Careers Division in Oklahoma City for the Federal Aviation Administration. We manage the centralized hiring process for air traffic controllers.

You have been identified for an interview for a terminal air traffic control position. You will be contacted by a representative of the Air Traffic Organization responsible for the interview process around the end of October 2008 to schedule an interview or to invite you to attend one of our Preemployment Processing Centers.

As the Human Resource Specialist responsible for hiring you, it is imperative all communication regarding the hiring process (accepting or declining the position, clearances, class dates, etc.) be conducted with me. This will help us ensure we have accurate information from you during the hiring process and allow us to schedule you to attend the FAA Academy at the earliest possible date.

Attached are forms which need to be filled out and faxed to this office within 14 days. (1) Applicant Contact Information form; and (2) FAA Form 3300-9, Record of Family Relationship. Please fax these documents to me at xxx-xxx-xxxx OR SCAN AND EMAIL THEM DIRECTLY TO ME. Note: Emailing them directly to me ensures readily receipt of your documents.) Once you complete your interview and if you are recommended for hire, you will receive a tentative job offer which will include the facility you have been assigned.

NOTE: We are not authorized to release the facility you have been assigned so you will need to wait until you receive the tentative job offer.

If you are not interested in an air traffic controller position, please let me know immediately.

They are from Human Relations because they knew I had a family member in the FAA.

I am sorry. It is Human Resources Department. My current job has a Human Relations Department. I apologize for the mix up in my previous post.

I realize your feelings, but if you check out my posts on JC, you will see that I am a 'regular' on ATC forums.

They knew I have a family member in the FAA and sent me a form to fill out and send back about it. It is a legit e-mail.

by the way, i sincerely apologize, i do not want to give the wrong impression that we are being witch hunters...lol... people made stupid jokes before about selection emails etc so we kinda feel veeeerrryyyy skeptical of anything that comes out, to be fair, the phone number listed comes up for a maggie xxxx and her voicemail says she is from the "terminal service eastern area"???

im hoping you guys are right and they are really letting us know finally....
