I would totally apply CTI, you have been waiting so long with your OTS TOL, its almost like you are "under the radar". Maybe call HR to get the specific details on this?

11/2011-told it would be June before there was an OTS class at the academy for ZME
2/27/12 called HR and was told it would be July, not June
4/2/12 got email for medical re-fresh & re-did grug screen & MMPI2
4/3/12-called medical office to schedule with AME, no response yet...
4/09/12-appt scheduled with AME for 4/10/12
4/19/12-had to go back to AME to fill out a form, prolonging clearance

This is the craziest timeline I've ever seen!

ZAU is overstaffed - applying CTI won't change that

Selected to en-route from PUBNAT 8 in March 2011, TOL in December 2011, and cleared January 2012. It will be FY13 at the earliest.

I think that's the point where you give up on ZAU and apply elsewhere. It seems it would be faster to go somewhere else, CPC and transfer. At least thats what I would do, especially if you can reapply under CTI...

Took the test 11/12/09. Received my TOL June 2011. Just got the call for a class date for 5/24/12 earlier today. Also, I am an A&P mechanic, I'm not sure if that factored into anything.

It should happen. I was Pub6 OTS also. 2 weeks ago got told my class date was August 23, 2012 but that I was a back up for June 4th and June 8th classes. HR called last friday, and said I was moved up to June 4th. I am ZAU also. It has been a long wait, but if you are Enroute OTS, you will get picked up eventually..The retirements are happening like crazzzy! I already work at ZAU so if you want to talk offline let me know...
