considering I have heard of En route people being held up till Feb09 for start dates. 07 apps most have started during the summer, some are still waiting for FOL's It will be a long time I would say till PUBNAT5 gets around to PEPC status however that all depends on how many apps have applied to earlier announcements and were selected or have declined to go through with things. All I can say is patience. Keep busy, don't expect to hear anything soon. That way when you do hear something It will be a big shock and huge party

I put in for PUBNAT5 (and 6) as well. I called OKC at the end of August and they said the were putting together the list for PUBNAT4 to take the AT-SAT and that it would probably be a month (which is right about now) before they put together the list for the PUBNAT5 AT-SATs.

I know the whole process is very L O N G, but it seems like waiting for this first response just makes you paranoid crazy. I keep going back to the FAA ASAP site to make sure my application is still really there and that I really did apply to the right site. Wouldn't automatically generated "fluffer" emails from the FAA be great. Something that said: "No, you are not crazy it has been a long time, but fear not we still have your application. You have not fallen between the cracks to wait in ATC application purgatory for all time. While we are the government and everything will be complicated and take a long time, hang in there, you are not forgotten and you will hear from us at a (much) later date."

I was informed that I've been selected to take the AT-SAT on August 13th. I'm waiting to hear word when I can schedule the test. Anyone hear from that announcement yet??

A good place to ask this may be in the section for PUBNAT 8.
