This. I got laid off 2 months ago and have been chilling on unemployment and severance while living it up.

I just started working at a golf course 3 weeks ago. Been unemployed since Jan. The golf course gig is only part time though, so I still get unemployment benefits.

Free golf + minimal pay + Unemployment benefits = WIN!

Heard back from my friend at ZAU, he said there are currently quite a few trainees there, and their next batch of trainees will not arrive until December. He didn't believe this would effect anyone's timeline for getting to OKC though.

Im getting a little confused here. I attended the June PEPC in Chicago and was told to not expect a class date until January. So mentally I've been preparing for next year. But now, I'm getting a bit nervous to see that people are getting class dates at the last minute! I have few reason why I wouldn't be thrilled to have less than a month to prepare & go to OKC. Is this last minute notice for class dates normal? And does anyone know a way I can get out of my lease so I won't be paying for rent while I'm in OKC? LOL

No... Leases can be a pain... But you can always pass on the class and take a later date... I would gladly take your spot! I already gave notice on my lease and pay month to month... so I require about 72 hours! What I figure it would take me to drive there.

How much longer do you have on the lease? A lot of times you can pay two months rent at the market rate and be released from your contractual obligation.

From what I've seen, people have had between 1 week and 4 months notice on class dates. I guess I would say the average is about 1 month. (No scientific models to reference )
