Zau dates
Posted: 09-16-2009, 07:03 AM Just wanted to start a thread for people going to ZAU.... if you are, post your stats on here so we can keep up and see when other people might get a chance to go... I haven't heard anything about people getting an enroute date for ZAU

Posted: 09-16-2009, 10:33 AM Patiently waiting myself. I think I'm still waiting on medical clearance. Last I checked they were still reviewing it, which was awhile ago. Haven't called them recently.
I'm hoping to not wait too long. |

Patiently waiting as well, attended the PEPC in Atlanta and was told that all my clearances were back in good order (woman at ACD sounded like she was having a case of the Mondays so I don't necessarily believe her). From what I have been reading here and on other posts it seems like there are quite a few of us waiting which, not to be pessimistic, probably isn't good considering I've heard ZAU is overstaffed and this new contract thing isn't going to help. Anyone else hear anything? I haven't contacted HR or anyone just ACD but have a few friends who are in towers. |

I know in his Academy class he was with 4 or 5 others going to ZAU. The other half of his class were all heading to ZJX though. |

Posted: 09-16-2009, 02:24 PM I'm terminal, but EM mentioned to me last week that hiring there is on hold for the moment while they reassess staffing and that "their numbers are being reduced" (direct quote from email). Given that ZAU is lvl12, I'm assuming that means giving people transfers to other facilities? I didn't get into it with her, so not sure how many people or any other specifics.

PEPC August 5th Friends/Neighbors received background letter Think I'm just waiting on background I have a few friends that work at ZAU, they suggest it's normal, not overstaffed, not understaffed. Each day is different type thing. |
