Expired Drug Test question

Took mine in July and my class was 1/12 but moved to 2/1. If it expires in 6 months, I will have to re do it. I know. My question though is for anyone that actually had to retake it: did they let you know after you got your FOL via email and how close to your class did they notify you? I don't want to show up on the 1st of February and be sent away because it expired . . . but I also don't want to nag my HR rep about a retake if it will come up on its own and they will notify me accordingly.

I don't think they'll issue you a FOL without taking your drug refresher. That's what they did with me atleast. As soon as I learned about my tentative class date, they had me go refresh the drug test.

I was told to retake the drug test today but no class date yet...call back in January.

i will probably be in this same situation. i took my drug test at Chicago June PEPC. I'm still waiting on medical to be cleared b/c of a MMPI Retake. Would they call me to tell me this or should i call HR?

Not true. I got my FOL for 1/12 (one day prior to exactly 6 months from my drug screen which was done on 7/13/09). Then they cancelled the class and moved me to 2/1/10. I was issued an amended FOL two days later. I have heard NOTHING about a new drug screen.

I just set a world record for response time from HR. I asked if she wanted me to do another drug screen since mine would be expired by class. She wrote back instantly and said yes (while thanking me for pointing out the fact that it would expire). She gave me the number to reschedule. Thanks for the responses guys, that is all.

My best guess is because you're initial class was within the 6 month gap, even if just by one day. Then it must have just slipped your HR rep's mind. lol But either way it's good you have your FOL.
