Are there going to be any more chances to apply?
Posted: 12-16-2009, 07:46 PM

There will definitely be more PUBNATs. It's impossible for the FAA to meet the demand for new controllers over the next several years without OTS hires. When the next one'll open up is anyone's guess.

But yes, apply to all that you can until you're hired. If you're dropped from one, that way you're still in the pipeline for the next.

It's all speculation. No one knows for sure except the FAA. And at this time, i'm not even sure if they even know. The safest way for you to know when the next Pubnat has been opened is to either check the FAA's website everyday, or just check this site. When Pubnats are opened, this site blows up and it's the new hot topic.

I still like the fact that the Pubnat9 thread was created and it doesn't exist. Wouldn't it be slightly humorous if a Pubnat9 never exists? Yes, No, Maybe So? Circle one.

It would be awesome.

I think Adam created it to try and keep the "OMG WHEN IS NEXT PUBNAT" discussions in one place.

Obviously it's working well.

Unfortunately no, that won?t help your chances. To be honest, you may be a little too late. You can always try and contact the FAA and tell them your situation. But, I don?t know what you can expect.

Yeah I would say you probably don't have a chance.

In my humblest of opinions, there will likely be ONE pubnat a year for them to select only the MOST QUALIFIED candidates to fill shortages where VRA/CTI can not fill.

Flame me if you want. Like I really give a shit, but they are not going to continue on this road when there are so many people waiting for dates. There are people from PUB1 still waiting for dates. Why would they continue to test/accept 2000+ people per year? If you think they will youre getting high with the chick that said she will be in within 6 months. Even our liberal free money for all dipshits know that would be a bad move.

My $.02
