FY2011 possible class dates for Enroute, then who is going to training in FY2010?

So I've been told like many others I'm sure, that my facility(ZHU) reached their hiring goals for FY 2010 and most likely won't be able to place me at the acadamy until after October(FY 2011). So If many of the facilities have reached their staffing levels and they haven't canceled all the Enroute classes, who are they planning on putting in the classes still listed as active???????

BY the way WTF is a FY2011?!?!?!? I'm going crazy!

Fiscal year 11 starts October 1st. That is how the government runs it budget. October to October.

lol yeah I understand how the fiscal year works..... WTF is a FY2011 as in, why are they forcing us to wait soo long. I feel liked I've waited long enough and now all of our long waiting has been rewarded by what... MORE WAITING

There is many many things I want to say in this post but it will come off mean, so all I will say is waiting is the name of the game for most. You are NOT the first people to wait (i waited two years for the call, other friends waitied 3-4 years) and you will not be the last. If you want this job better get used to stuff like this. ERAM, NEXTGEN, etc. The job is worth the wait ten fold in the end.

Most of those classes are going to be cancelled. I haven't looked at the schedule to know what dates they have on there but there are only going to be 5 EnRoute classes between April and the next fiscal year.

You can say whatever you want, we're all adults here, tell it like it is, say whats's on your mind, that's all I was doing. Yeah I'm not the first and won't be the last to wait.... that doesn't take away the frustration. I would find it incredible if you, your friends and others didn't go through the same frustation, even the tiniest bit. All I'm saying is it sucks, but I def know it's worth the wait. It also sucks when you paid money and took out loans to go to school for this.... that accruing interest sure ain't waiting lol.

Yea ATC2fly...going to ZHU also....and was told the same thing....fy2011....hopefully its just a generic email....because alot of people where told the same thing for our facility around november but got a call weeks later asking to come to Oklahoma...so who knows. But like you said almost everyone has been told this but there are like 5 classes for this fy left. With 18 people per class that is 90 left to go....hopefully that will be 2 spots for us...
