The job is a direct hire with a subsidiary of Mantech. If you are worried about the hours for 187K please don't apply to this position, that's not the type of person they are looking for, but we can imagine how much classroom training you can do in a week - its not 14hours a day like many other field positions over there. If you would like to be considered send me your resume and answers to the questions and I will try to get you in there.

Caz is right, once you get in country there isn't a whole lot to do other than WORK. Most of the bases have gyms, a coffee shop, and chow hall, other than that you're on your own. Living quarters can range from large tents, plywood building, to a brick and mortar building. For transportation you are at the mercy of the military and believe me you do not want to ride in convoys to get from one place to another.

The Taliban likes shooting rockets and mortars at the bases, and they like to try to sneak in the occasional suicide bomber, and one of their favorite past times is setting up IED's in an attempt to take out convoys, so you might want to take that into consideration.

Has this contract been awarded or is the company just trying to gather resumes for bidding?

The contract has been running for over 3 years, they have placed over a hundred trainers in theater. The training start periodically in the states, the one scheduled to start next week is full. When the next class date is decided (sometime in March) they will begin interviewing again.
