According to the "Get Air Traffic Controller Jobs" website, Airservices Pacific provides Air Traffic Control Services under contract to FAA in the Western Pacific Area at GSN, GUM (Guam), KOA, LIH, and MKK FAA Contract Towers.

Two different websites list the contact number of (202) 454-2856. Can't hurt to give it a try . . .

I'm assigned to ZUA and I am about to start training. Anyone know where I can find IFR maps of that area to check out?

Actually, Airservices Pacific (Air Services New Zealand) does not provide the service - SERCO Management has it.

There are no CPCs at PGUM. It is contract and only hires CTO holders. Serco just took over the contract this year. The hourly wage for a standard tower controller can be found at the department of labor. When I worked for airservices it was around $30 an hour and that included the $5 for locality and $3 in tax free fringe that was for medical and 401k contributions.

Airservices is gone now. It was owned by the Aussies and not new Zealand. I can't tell you what the pay is now, but take home was around $1800 every two weeks with airservices.

Oh yeah, there is no difference in pay when you are training to when you are qualified. You have about 30 days to get your ticket. The hardest thing about that tower is the lawrs test... Scratch that, the hardest part is trying to stay awake. It is so freakin boring up there.
