Working Overseas?

Are there US facilities overseas that FAA employed controllers are able to work for? Excluding Guam (the only one I can think of) what other options are outside of the continental US?

Not FAA, but there are numerous DOD facilities you can work at if you are prior military.

Bummer. Does anyone know how ATC works in the Reserves? I'm not prepared to get moved around for 4 years (which I assume is what would happen if I enlisted), but it would be nice to spend some time overseas and still serve the country as well.

The reserves does not offer ATC, but the guard does. You do the same training as enlisted than on your merry way to do what you would like.

I believe there is some type of FAA facility in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Not sure if it is a center or tower though. They need people there too, but you have to give a 3 year commitment to them. After your three years there you have your choice of facility anywhere across the country. They are trying to lure people there with incentives

Where did you get your info for Puerto Rico. Do you have a contact? Any other info would help.

How is it down there? Is there a specific announcement that you have to apply for?

I am from the Virgin Islands, and I am interested in working in SJU Tower. How long have you been working there? What is it like?
